Two Weeks Of College Football

Florida State has been pushing Ponder their quarterback for the Heisman trophy. After today's effort he's out of that Race. Nole's lose by 30

Georgia Tech loses to Kansas who lost last week to North Dakota. Nice job Jackets.

Miami loses at the horse shoe of Ohio State by 12. That's three of the biggies in the ACC and there is no win among them. Let's don't leave out Virginia Tech who was beaten by James Madison in Lane Stadium. Didn't N C Wesleyan play JMU just a couple of years ago?

After two weeks there are only five ACC team undefeated an they are Maryland who won two games last year. Boston College, Wake Forest who has score 50 in two games in a row for the first time in their history. They did this against powerful Presbyterian and Duke. Clemson the only 2-0 team that should be 2-0 and N C State.

Good news for ECU fans they didn't need 50 to win. The way the defense is giving up points they may have too. Their offense is averaging 50.5 while the defense is giving up 38.5 and yet they are 2-0. 38.5 points at game at home.

Duke scored 48 and still needed more to beat Wake Forest. N C State played a perfect game for the first 25 minutes and held on the next 35 to beat UCF 28-21. Good news for the Pack the offense with Russell Wilson Stunk up the joint and yet their defense played great. Go figure!

High school football Southern Nash came back to the level of everyone else in Nash County with the upset loss to Roanoke Rapids. The Jackets are 4-0. Northern Nash struggles to score points. If they ever find out where the goal line is they could be trouble for a lot of people because their defense is rock solid. Nash Central took the night off and remain win less. Rocky Mount got a much needed win over a solid Hertford County team.

If I had to put my money on the Tarboro and SouthWest Edgecombe game right now there will not be three points difference when the game is over.

Since I am not doing radio games this year I went in the press box to see old friend Gattis Hodges the play by play man for the Hertford County Bears before the game last night. Good seeing you my friend.
