Twin County's College Basketball Players

There are so many players from this area playing at some level of college basketball.  Here is the list that I have been able to find and how they are doing at their schools.

Montrezl Harrell: Louisville and North Edgecombe.  Has started every game that he has been eligible to play in.  Louisville is 11-1 losing for the first time yesterday to Kentucky.   Montrezl is averaging 16.7 points per game  and 10 rebounds for  a national power.

TaShawn Mabry:  Rocky Mount and Tarleton State:  Tarleton is 10-0 in division 2 basketball.  Mabry averaging 10.6 points per game.

Dante Battle: Rocky Mount and Wallace State Community College Hanceville Al junior college . Team is 8-7 Dante averaging 10.8points and 8.4 rebounds.

Immanuel King Rocky Mount and Wallace State Community College Hanceville Al Junior College.  Immanuel has started over half the games joining Dante in Alabama.  Averaging about 4 points per game.

Exzavier Cooper:  Rocky Mount and Harford Jr College Bel Air Md.  Harford is 5-10 in the Maryland Juco league.  The former Gryphon  is averaging 12.7 points and 10.2 rebounds per game.

Tabias Hilliard:  Rocky Mount and Methodest College 2-5:  The junior is starting for his third year in Fayetteville averaging 10.3 points per game and is shooting 44% three pointers and 3.4 assist per game.

Terrill Hilliard:  Rocky Mount and Wingate College.  May remember Terrill played his senior season at RM with stress fracture of his leg.  Sat out freshman year at Wingate to heal and as a Redshirt sophomore is averaging about 20 minutes per game and scoring 5.5 per contest.

Follow up on Jalen Hendricks.  You might remember that in late October I made mention that Jalen the former Big East football player of the year from Nash Central lead D2 football in all purpose yards playing for Livingston College.  Jalen finished third in the nation averaging 210 plus yards per game.  At the time he was averaging about 209 plus yards per game but two others past him as the year went on.

While I was looking up Jalen's Stats and since this is now a pass happy world of college and pro football I checked to see where former Gryphon Terrell Hudgins Elon  stands in the NCAA record books now five years after he caught his last college pass.  Terrell stands as the all time leader in D2 pass catches 395.  All time average catches per game 8.55 in 45 college games.  All time leader in total receiving yardage 5,250.  The only stat he no longer is the leader in is average yards receiving per game.  He is now second at 116.7 per game.  The leader is 118.
