College Basketball Review

The football season being extended almost all the way to Christmas and high school basketball already well underway by the end of football season I have not paid much attention to those from this area that played college basketball this season. I know this is not a complete list so let me know of any I have left off the list.

DeShawn Freeman Sr:  Northern Nash...Rutgers.  Played in all 33 games and started 31 at center/power forward.  Averaged 12.8 points per game 3.2 rebounds.  Playing time was 30.4 minutes per game. Good finish to a college career that started out at the juco level. Saw him several times when Rutgers was on ESPN.

J' Kyra Brown JR:  Rocky Mount ...Virginia.  The Cavs were 20-13 and made it to the second round of WNIT. Played in all 33 games started four. Normally first guard off the bench.  Average playing  time 24.5 minutes per game.  Averaged 8.6 points 4.2 rebounds and 2 assists.   Saw many of her games on the ACC Network.

Alexus Hill JR: Northern Nash... Gardner Webb.  Started 29 of 31 games played.  Team went 12-19.  Averaged 9 points 3.3 rebounds and 2 assists per game.

Immanuel King JR:  Rocky Mount...West Texas State.  Started 23 of 36 games.  Made the SunBelt Conference All Tournament team.  Led team in field goal percentage 56.6.  Led team in blocks 38 which is sixed best in team history.  Averaged 21.6 minutes 5.6 points per game.

Timyra Staton Sr:  Nash Central...North Carolina Wesleyan.,,started all 26 games.  Scored at an 11.7 points per game getting 7.1 rebounds.  Averaged 25.7 minutes per game. Saw her play every home game while doing PA at NCW.

Susannah Sykes Soph:  Northern Nash...William Peace. Started 23 of 25 games averaged 8.7 points 3.8 rebounds and 1 assists per game.

Ty'Ais Cooper JR:  Rocky Mount...Elizabeth City State.  Team 5-19. Played in  17 games. Averaged 22.8 minutes per game.  2.6 points 1.8 rebounds.

Takeyria Thomas JR:  Rocky Mount...Elizabeth City State.  Played in 19 games averaged 8.4 minutes played. Scored 17 points on the season.  Recorded five steals.

Kelsey Daniels JR:  Rocky Mount...Newport News Apprentice.  Only three girls games played.

That is the list help me out with those so have left off.
