Another Soccer Shutout

One of the hardest things that teams ever have to do is come back and play after they have won one ofthe biggest game of the season. Tuesday's win against Hunt only ties the Gryphons for first and winning Tuesday won't mean much should they slip up against some one else in the league until the end of the season.

Rocky Mount soccer did what they had to do today in winning at home over Fike 4-0. If there is one thing that this teams does well is play defense. They have not allowed more than three goals in any game. When the other side doesn't score it make your chances of winning much better. It also keeps you in every game on days that you might struggle on offense until you finally get your offense together to score enough goals to win.

JV football is home Thursday night and if the Lord is willing I'll be on the PA. The Varsity is on the road Friday night and they play at Hunt who right now is living up tho their preseason predictions of being in the battle for first.

Volleyball goes for the conference tournament Title Thursday night at Hunt and they get the Hunt Warriors. The Ladies have already beaten Hunt twice this year and now have to beat Hunt twice at their place this year.

I still have no reporting to do on how the tennis team is doing this week in the conference tournament. If you wonder why I can tell you more about some games than I do on others, the reason is simple. If I am at a certain sport I am there to see it. If I am not there all I might know about the games is the score. I have followed volleyball pretty extensively this fall due to the fact I have a daughter on the team. I'm there just about every game.

They will have to win the tournament Thursday night without me since I will be doing JV football PA.
