Pack Sees Purple

Before the largest crowd in the history of of their stadium the Pirates of ECU score three times in the first quarter and defended Russell Wilson into his worse game of his college career. What looked like a 52-48 game settle into a second half defensive struggle that went into over time and ECU invited a Pack victory by missing their extra point in over time but did not allow a pack score to win 33-27.

You think you are going to see one game (high scoring)and another shows up. This game could have easily had both teams scoring in the fifties but each side made their share of mistakes. I think the game everyone saw in Greenville was actually played in Auburn Alabama as #7 Auburn beat #12 Arkansas 65-48. Wasn't that suppose to be the ECU-State score?

Jim Grobe came to Wake Forest several years ago and made them ACC champs once. It surely seems those days are over as Va Tech scored a bundle in the first half and cruised in the second. Wake has given up 50 again.

Duke has returned to being Duke. It is now after October fifteenth so everyone in Durham can now watch basketball practice.

SouthWest Edgecombe's Linwan Euwell who was one of the 15 at Carolina who has sat out while they investigated to see whether he could regain his eligibility was reinstated today and suited up for the Tar Heel.

Looks as if the Heels will break the losing streak at Virginia. They haven't won at Scott Stadium this century and most of the 20th century. They lead by 27 late in the third.

Texas hosted the Yankees twice Friday and Saturday and had five run leads in both. Tonight they don't give the lead away and tie the series as it goes to New York Monday.

Both the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys both have a reputation of if you play for them you must be the best player at your position. Yes the Yankees won the World Series last year but dollar for dollar they are over rated as are the Cowboys. Both are owned by head line seeking owners or at least the Yankees were until Steinbrenner's death this year.

I think Texas is going to the World Series and the Cowboys will not be the first team in the NFL to host the Super Bowl in their stadium.
