Even though the first day of school for Nash County schools is not until next Monday today is the first official day that athletic teams can take the courts and playing fields and the action counts. Those teams that can are wasting no time starting as football on Friday night will be the last varsity sport to get under way. Here's RMHS game schedule for this week.

To my knowledge this is the first time ever that Rocky Mount and South Granville have met in football? SG is located in Creedmoor. The school has 1062 students last year and was built in 1962 replacing Creedmoor High school.
