Can Wolfpack Stop ACC National TV Bleeding

Soccer traveled to Webb High this afternoon and came home with a victory. I don't have the score but I know they won from a couple of sources. This ups their record to 8-1-1 and they hit the same highway Thursday but stopping when they get to Franklinton instead of keeping on to Oxford.

Lady Gryphon Volleyball lost in three games at D H Conley. 25-17,25-19 and 25-10. We talked last night about this being are we improving match and yes they are. Conley had superior height advantage and the Lady Gryphon quickness kept them in the first two games. The ladies are back home Thursday for a conference match with Southern Nash. Their record is 9-3 and 3-0 in Big East play.

Tennis is home tomorrow hosting the Lady Firebirds of Southern Nash.

If you are planning to go to the SouthWest football game Friday night I would advise buying ticket Thursday at the school. It is normal for long lines at Cougar games and you know with the Gryphons coming there will be a hugh crowd.

North Carolina State takes center stage Thursday night as the Wolfpack host the Cincinnati on the ESPN National Thursday night football game. The ACC has not won many non-conference games so far this year even against the Sisters of the Poor.

The Pack will have to survive the first half without me as I'll be on PA for the JV game against SWE. If the Pack can hold on until halftime I will be on the fifty yard line by early third quarter.(In front of my TV). I think the Pack hasn't started 3-0 since the 2002 season when they opened winning their first eight and beat Notre Dame in the Gator Bowl.

Reggie Bush gave back the Heisman trophy yesterday and tonight the Heisman committee has decided not to have a winner in 2005. I bet if second place finisher in 2005 Texas quarterback Vince Young was one of the best quarterback in the NFL now they would give it to him in a minute.

Since he has been a so so NFL quarterback I think the Heisman committee hates to give it to someone who hasn't been great in the NFL. If you think about it , How many Heisman winners have been any good in the NFL any way? Not Many. Kind of makes the Heisman committee look bad when the best player in college football is not all that good in the NFL.

Makes you wonder whether the award is a popularity contest.
