How good a game is a lot of times has to do to which end of the perspective you are. Whether you won or lost.
The Giants-Panther game was an excelleant game maybe between the best two teams in the NFC.
I have a hard time trying to run the clock and then trying a fifty yard field goal to win. The Giants when they got their chance punched it into the end zone instead of trying a field goal.
Casey's field goal look like my tee shots some times in golf. It started out straight as an arrow but the wind pushed the ball about ten yards left. My golf shots develope a banana after about a hundred yards which tend to swing forty yards right of center.
There seems to me to be something wrong with Jake Delhomme. He seems to have lost his strength in his arm as the season has gone on. He had four passes which were short that should have been intercepted.
I think the Panthers are left with having to win next Sunday to insure that they are in the playoffs. If they lose and Atlanta wins. Atlanta is in Panthers are out.
After last night I am now 3-2 in bowl games.
The San Diego Chargers are the hottest team in football and will host Denver next Sunday with the winner winning the Western Division on the AFC.
Should the Chargers pull it out their reward a home game either against Indianpolis, Baltimore or Pittsburgh.
If I had to pick a super bowl winner right now I would take Indy. Tennessee which beat Pittsburgh yesterday has the best defense but during the playoffs you have got to score in the twenty's or you may go home.
Pittsburgh has gotten by with defense up to this point but like Tennessee can't out score anyone in the playoffs. Have you noticed that the throw happy NFL has made a full circle and even Baltimore is defense and run.
Now lets see the Giants,Panthers,Tennessee, Baltimore and Pittsburgh all are defensive minded run the football and throw only when you have to.
Dallas,Indianpolis,San Diego ,Denver and Arizona are the non running teams still in the hunt for the playoffs.
The same old formula. Hold on to the ball and stop the other side is how you win at any level.
