Sprit Night Is Tonight

This Saturday The Envy-Us Step team  will have their 7th Step Show at the Rocky Mount High Gym.  It all begins at 4.00pm.  Tickets are $5 in advance at $8 at the door.  They will be competing in a Step competition at Disney World  the Weekend of February 17-19.  These 17 members have also be selected to perform at the CIAA Basketball Tournament on March 3rd.

Tuesday night Hunt Lady Warriors tried every combination they could to slow down J-Kyra Brown.  Over heard this comment from the bench after J buried a three late in the third quarter. " There is no way to defense that".

One point in Tuesday boys game Rocky Mount outscored Hunt 65-19.  Hunt is right now the third place team  in the Big East.  Quote by Mike Gainey in the RM Telegram Wednesday.  "It is scary the potential this team has".  16-3 and still talking potential, wow!.

Rocky Mount has the three bottom feeders in the conference left on their schedule.  They need to take care of business and not lose the MO that they have going.  Rocky Mount travels to Fike Friday, Senior night is Tuesday against Southern Nash who is playing good ball since Christmas and then the trip to Northern to finish the regular season.

This Saturday is the Conference individual wrestling championships.  The team playoffs start next week in wrestling duels.

I sat through the N C State Boston College game basketball  and you know that the ACC was going to become a football power with all the Big East schools added.  Basketball was suppose to be just as strong as ever.  Other than Virginia Tech in football all of the Big East schools have pulled the quality of both football and basketball down.  Think we have two more on the way.- in Pittsburgh and Syracuse.
