Tonight is the first night of the state playoffs in North Carolina High school basketball. Those with the impressive records mean nothing as all teams head through the six game playoff gauntlet and when all the said and done is complete there will only be one winner in every bracket from 1A to 4A in both boys and girls. Here's a look at everyone still alive from this area.

2A Boys:

3A Girls:
Westover 11-12 @ Rocky Mount 19-3 6pm
Western Alamance 13-11 @ Nash Central 16-8 6pm Part of home doubleheader with the boys.
Grays Creek 14-9 @ Fike 17-7 6pm Part of Doubleheader with boys
Hunt 17-8 @ Northeast Guilford 20-6 6pm
3A Boys:
NE Guilford 11-14 @ Northern Nash 22-3 6pm
Chapel Hill 14-12 @ Nash Central 7:30 Part of double header with girls
Walt Williams 17-8 @ Fike 17-8 Part of doubleheader with girls
If you are a supporter of any of these teams especially if they have earned a home game you need to be in the house supporting your team. No one is guaranteed to be playing Thursday when you thought you would go support them
