NFL Starts Tonight

The NFL season cranks up tonight and that means for those of you that are fantasy players you are more interested in every team, over someone like me who only watches the Panthers and Chargers religiously. Here’s my prediction on the NFL season. We will start with the NFC South.

The Saints are the defending Super Bowl Champions and I dont’ see anyone in the division taking the top spot away. Despite their lack of scoring in the preseason the Panthers will be in the running for a playoff spots with Atlanta. Tampa Bay is a year away.

Saints 11-5
Panther 9-7
Falcons 8-8
Tampa Bay 6-11

NFC East

I not all sold on the Cowboys like everyone else is , but who is better. Redskins are a mess. The Giants have Eli Manning so their defense had better be good. Philadelphia changed quarterbacks but I’m not sure they are better.

Cowboys 9-7
Giants 8-8
Eagles 7-9
Redskins 6-10

NFC North

Can Brett Farve last out the season is the big question in this division? Minnesota and Green Bay will fight it out with Chicago floundering with and Detroit getting better.

Green Bay 11-5
Minnesota 10-6
Chicago 7-9
Detroit 5-11

NFC West

Can you say San Francico 49’s. I like their coach in Mike Singletary and they are putting the pieces together. Seattle, Arizona and St Louis are wins for every body in football.

49’s 10-6
Seahawks 7-9
Arizona 7-9
St Louis 4-12

AFC East

I am not sold on the New York Jets but I do think this is the best division in football this year.

Patriots 10-6
Jets 10-6
Miami 9-7
Buffalo 5-11

AFC North

The Ravens replace the Pittsburgh for the top spot. Cincinnati will push Pittsburgh for second. Cleveland will push to get to even Steven but won’t make it.

Ravens 12-4
Pittsburgh 9-7
Cincinnati 8-8
Cleveland 6-10

AFC South

Is this the years someone besides Indy wins the South. Houston thinks it is and I agree. I think Indy may struggle to be even by years in. Tennessee and Jacksonville play out the string.

Houston 11-5
Indianapolis 9-7
Tennessee 8-8
Jacksonville 5-11

AFC West

Will the Chargers win five Divisions in a row? Probably but Oakland will be better. They have had one of the better defenses in the past three-four years but no quarterback. They are improved there. KC and Denver

San Diego 10-6
Oakland 8-8
Denver 6-10
Kansas City 6-10

I think the Super Bowl will be Geen Bay from the NFC. The biggest question will be the home field for the NFC championship game. The Saints will have a hard time winning in the frozen tundra and Green Bay in the Super Dome. There will be no Cowboys in Cowboy Stadium for the Super Bowl except those that buy a ticket.

The AFC is wide open. The Ravens, Chargers or New England. I doubt the Jets will make it to the conference championship.
