Webb had set things up for a five inning no hitter as he had allowed no hits and only two base on balls after pitching five inning and CP58 had scored nine times and the ten run rule on third with only one out in the bottom of the fifth but failed to score and Webb's no hitter was cooked on a ground ball single up the middle in the sixth and another in the seventh.
Jordan Taylor was the big man in game two getting two hits and drove in three rbi. Spires Miller had two hits and two rbi in the victory.

Next action is Monday night at home at Nash Central as Cary who beat 58 opening night 6-5 will be back in town. Rocky Mount is now 12-3 heading down the home stretch with two weeks to go in the regular season.
Xavier Macklin the former Bulldog of Nash Central and of late NCA&T played his first professional game Friday night in the New York -Penn League. X was 1-5 with a double but he did strike out twice. Macklin plays for the A's affiliate the Vermont Lake Monsters in Burlington Vermont. The New York- Penn League is a class A short season that started last night. Since this is a rookie league it would make sense that the season not start until after the draft which was ten days ago. The A's have signed 22 of their drafted players so far since the draft.
