Could Texas Be On There Way to Join Notre Dame?

The past decade has seen college conferences double in size in order to create a championship game at the end of the season in which that conference could get a National broadcast of their Game.  More money for everyone within the conference.

Texas has passed Notre Dame  where ND has a contract with NBC to broadcast all their home football games, Texas has formed their own TV network and they show every Texas sport on cable.  This has the ire of  the Big Twelve schools who don't get any of the loot whenever their team plays Texas  in say Baseball.  I suspect the Big Twelve is doomed  as I think you will see Oklahoma find another home and if Texas wants to find another conference to control they probably can't find one and going independent  like Notre Dame is on the horizon.

It looks as if the pendulum is swinging back in the other direction. I don't see Notre Dame football having flourished as an independent the last twenty years. If Texas A&M gets mad with Texas would they continue to play them if Texas was an independent.  Despite how big Football is Notre Dame having to be in the Big East for all other sports is going to be the same problem if Texas goes independent.

Five  years into the ACC having more than nine teams and I don't think each school that was in the ACC ten years ago is carting off that much more money than each school did when there  was only nine in the league.  Wouldn't  be nice if the ACC went back to the original Seven Clemson, Duke, Carolina, State, Virginia, Maryland and Wake and add Virginia Tech as an eight team league.  Who needs a football championship game any way.  I would rather have The ACC cable network where I could watch all the sports by every team and let ESPN cover a National game every week.

Tiger is back as he starts the PGA after being sidelined with injuries.  The greatest player of the past 15 years  is going to win a few more tournaments as he ages but we will never see the Tiger of five years ago again.  I think he will be good enough to finish in the top 25 every week but that old putter  that ten years ago he never missed a ten foot putt is gone.  Yes, he may shoot 66 once this weekend but  those three foot missed putts will doom him most of the time.  You know if Phil Mickelson could have putted he may have had a greater career than Tiger.  He misses too Many three footers at the wrong time.  Has anybody noticed this besides me?  Since the PGA drug testing went into effect Tiger's body has fallen apart.
