NFL-This Week Saturday Is Sunday

I respect the NFL a lot for moving almost of of the NFL schedule this week to Saturday.  The only game to be played Sunday is the Sunday night game.  Boy there are only five or six teams that have nothing to play for as just about every game has playoff implications one way or the other.

It will be interesting to see if the line injuries to the Packers slows up their offense.  You may recall I told you maybe six or seven weeks ago the Packers were playing way too good to early.  I hope both New York teams lose but since they are playing each other  one of them has to.

I think if you are heading to the Belk Bowl next Tuesday you can expect heavy traffic around Bank Of America Stadium.  If it is not it is close to a sell out as Louisville has sold there allotment of tickets.

If you are heading to The Independence Bowl there should be no traffic issues as Carolina has sold only about 1,000 tickets.  I realize that this Bowl game is a nothing Bowl but the Heels could have at least sold 5,000 tickets.

How about those Indianapolis Colts.  All this speculation about whether the Colts would take a quarterback if they got the first pick may all be forgotten if the Colts win again next week.

I know that rumors are running rampant at Rocky Mount and I am here to help you know about one.  Yes both Gryphon teams are playing next week in the High School OT Holiday Tournament at Broughton and Cary Academy and I have a source within my house that tells me the Gryphons will break out new uniforms in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Gryphons winning the very first tournament
